We are divers, photographers, and marine naturalists that have years of experience in local waters. All of our crew members have extensive dive safety training, and our crew even includes a Paramedic and an EMT. Our crew is simply the best in the San Diego area.
9/28 NEWS....
Captain Carl has just been notified that he was chosen to be a member of the Regional Stakeholder Group for the California Marine Life Protection Act (http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mlpa/southcoast.asp). He will be working with the Scientific Advisory Team, the California Blue Ribbon Task Force, the Department of Fish & Game, and other members of the Regional Stakeholder Group to create a plan for the Marine Protected Areas of the South Coast Region of California, from Point Conception and the Northern Channel Islands south to the Mexican Border. This will be a two year project.

In case you're still wondering just how good the Marissa crew is, Captain Carl has been asked to be a Scientist aboard the NOAA Research Vessel McArthur II during the ORCAWALE Marine Mammal Abundance Survey. He will be out observing and identifying whales and other marine mammals to assess their populations, and also assisting with the collection of oceanographic data.

The Marissa now has an AED onboard!
As an added safety feature, the Marissa is now the only day-dive boat in San Diego to carry an AED onboard! We think the lives of our passengers are worth a $1200.00 investment.
