Cold Water Dives
For prepared divers, cold water dive sites are
some of the most beautiful and biologically productive areas in the
world.
The water temperature at the wrecks
is usually around 52 degrees year-round. The kelp and the Coronados are
usually a bit warmer.
The vis at Wreck Alley averages around 20’ (some
days can be 10’ and others can be 60’+), and the vis at the Coronados
averages around 40’ (I’ve seen it up to 80’+).
If you are not used to
confining cold water apparel and the typical vis, or you don’t have
much cold water diving experience (more than 20 cold water dives) then
you probably should have a guide. Guides are available, contact us for
details.
Deep Dives
We
offer deep wreck dives for EXPERIENCED DIVERS ONLY. These dives are not
for everybody. Level of dive certification will be checked before the
dive. A minimal level of Advanced or Deep Diver certification is
required. We also require the diver to show record of at least 25 cold
water dives.
